Stained Glass Tower; Friday Night Feature 8

Within the 70,000 square meter exhibition grounds of the Hakone Open Air Museum there is a stunning stained glass tower. The tower stretches skyward for about four stories with a spiral staircase leading to the top from where you can see the museum stretched before your eyes. One a cloudy day the tower’s stained glass is muted and dark, however on a sunny day the tower really shines and is truly beautiful.

Irked; Friday Night Feature 7

There are little things in life, to which most people would judge inconsequential, that people do in the course of their daily lives that irk me to no end. Why do they irk me? I wish I had an answer for that, best I can do is identify what irks me and try to trivialize them to the point that they don’t bother me as much. When irked I use the word HATE, therein lies a stumbling block.

Sounds near a cafe; Friday Night Feature 6

So today I found myself sitting in a café when all the sounds and noises began to irritate me. Leaving was not an option, nor was jumping up and screaming “SHUT UP!”, several deep breaths later I started to write down the noises I heard.

The Bamboo Grove; Friday Night Feature 5

Near my apartment is a small dingy looking parking lot. Used frequently by the same set of cars but also home to dumped bicycles, a rice cooker which is scattered about in several directions, the remains of untold convenience store bentos and McDonald’s containers carelessly tossed after serving their purpose.

I knew what photo I wanted to use because there had been a short rain shower last week, which I got caught in with my camera, and the sun came out afterwards and looked amazing.
