Last autumn I took a trip back home, Northern Ontario near Lake Huron, to visit my family. At this point I had barely had my camera for a couple of months and I went crazy taking photos of everything; vegetables, gardens, flowers, people, you name it I snapped it. One of the best parts of the trip was getting up early in the morning and walking around with my camera as the sun came up, the ground was usually covered in dew and the air was chilly, but it was great!
Unfortunately I don’t get opportunities like that living in Kawasaki when sunrise, for example in September, happens at around 5:20 am while back home it’s around 7:15 am. My parents also live in the country side surrounded by forests, fields and nature, while on the other side of the planet I am surrounded by urban sprawl, concrete and tall buildings. I do get opportunities when I travel around Japan, I just have to take better advantage of them.

This is a really nice shot. Nice capturing of the light.
Thanks, I guess getting up early payed off in this once
the cloud and sun combination is nice
